MS Outlook 2003 problem - Won't save password???

Just yesterday, my Outlook 2003 started acting weird. EVerytime I do a send/receive, it asks for all my account PWs(i have 3 email accounts in Outlook), and even if I check save password, it ALWAYS asks for them again. If I go into the email options, and to a test account settings, it works fine. Only when I do send/receive does the PW not seem to register.

Anyone have any ideas here? I tried re-installing Outlook, and completely deleting the email accounts and re-setting them, but neither worked.

thanks guys.

Did you choose to save password in the accounts options setup...??? I'm sure you did, but you might double check.

Everything is setup properly, and I have not changed any services.

I just downloaded Thunderbird to see if it was Outlook, or my mail servers, and Thunderbird seems to be working just fine.

How often are you hitting your POP server (I'm assuming you're using a POP account)? When I was in college, our mail server would reject POP connections after frequent multiple attempts in a row. The symptom of this behavior in Outlook would be a prompt for the username/password.

I don't know if that's what's happening here, but it may be something to look into.

I already tried that. I think I'm going to reformat and reinstall Windows later today. God damn stupid little things that always make me reinstall. Ugh.

thanks for your help.
