This is more of a hardware problem. Its my first time posting in this section, so just hollar if i'm posting in the wrong place.

Anyways, I have a broken optical intellimouse which turns on sometimes and flashes when I shake the wire. I have replaced the wire because at first I thought it was the wire, but now i'm pretty confident its not. Anyone know what the problem could be, or anything else I could try?
Basically, the mouse isn't turning on.

Also, I can't call up for a replacment because this is a broken mouse that my friend gave me. He already called up and used the serial number to get a replacement, and he just gave his broken one to me.

Ive seen a lot of peeps with bad explorer mouse and not much can be done for them when they fail.. Get a Logitech optical..much cheaper and work great..
