MS Office versions conflict?

This is probably my fault😳
Several years ago, I bought an ROG laptop. It came with a trial version of Office 2007, which I never activated. I recently installed Office 2013. Now whenever I want to move a word document to flash drive, a window pops up asking foe a key to activate word 2007, It also appears that the saved doc on the flash drive thinks it's word 2007. Kind of a confusing mess. How do I fix it???

can you just uninstall Office 2007?

If not, then use this MS Office Cleaner. you might have to reinstall Office 2013 after you use the cleaner though

When downloading it, make sure you untick the box which says to use their own downloader, just download regularly

Seems to me that it is the result of a Registry entry. I would run CCleaner on it and try again after a reboot.

I went to Microsoft help and ran "Fix it" for Office 2007. It worked and uninstalled Office 2007, so that problem id solved. 😉😀

Thank you for your replies.
