MS Office 2007 hijacked e-mail cliet

I run Windows XP with SP3 and use Outlook Express 6.0 as my e-mail client. I needed PowerPoint to do some work on a paper for publication so installed Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007. After the installation Outlook Express no longer opened and instead Outlook had hijacked my e-mail servoce.

Is there a simple way I can get back to Outlook Express? I do need PowerPoint, but don't want Outlook.
