Great price, but the terrible reviews make me reluctant to try this.

Most of the reviews I've read said it was pretty good but not amazing. The ones on ANTOnline seems especially bad though. I figure for 20 bucks it can't be that bad.

reviews at newegg are decent. There does seem to be a consensus saying the clip is worthless for attaching the thing to your notebook. (not a deal breaker, imo). There are a number of ppl having problems getting it to work at all... idk, those type of comments often seem to me to be uttered out of pure frustration and/or written by noObs who may not be able to get much of anything to work that would require drivers.

My not having had *any* experience with notebook webcams notwithstanding, this does seems like a nice deal to me. Anything similar from Logitech is gonna be roughly twice the $28.51 shipped you would be paying for this one.

Requires Windows Vista or Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2). More specs from Microsoft's product page.

EDIT:
I had a UPS tracking number waiting for me in my inbox when I logged-on at noon today (ie: the next day).

EDIT II:
Received the cam one day after it was shipped. Threw the disk in my Windows Vista Home Premium machine, plugged the cam in when prompted, and it worked flawlessly as advertised on the first try. AND the clip fits perfectly over the top of my laptop. It says on the box that it fits on on laptops 7-15mm.
