I have a MS Notebook Optical Mouse 4000 hooked up to my Inspiron 9300, and it will take about 10 minutes longer than normal to kick off the idle events set in Windows Power Management/Dell QuickSet. With the Mouse disconnected the monitor will shut off in exactly 1 minute(what its set to) and other events will also work correctly, such as shutting off the HD, entering standby, then hibernate.

Anyone know what the heck is going on?
