MS Keyboards and Mice???

I was recently offered some very good prices on a MS keyboard and mouse set up of my choosing (I'd say about 40% off retail). What items should I be looking at? Wired or Wireless? I'm building a new system, primarily for gaming though it will be used for basic household stuff as well. Any help would be appreciated.
 
In my personal opinion, MS mice and keyboards suck. I've had several of them and they were all cheaply made and didn't last long. I now use Logitech wireless stuff and couldn't be happier. 🙂
