MS Intill mouse causes windows to hang during shut down

MS Intellieye whatever, that optical mouse.
When i use USB, windows never shuts down , always hanging at the shutdown splash screen.
change to PS2, computer shuts down completely every single time.

what's the problem here?
I don't mind using ps2 but just wondering......

are u using windows 98 SE ?
if yes...it might be the shut down bug...you get can the patch from Microsoft
