for other reasons, i have intsalled twice.. and both times my key board has not responded at the first boot where it walks you through setting up accoutns and such.

i only completed my second install about 10 minutes ago.. but on my first install (which ive had for about 10 days) about every other time i booted my computer my key board would not respond at all.. that happened for the first 3-4 days.. then it just up and stopped out of no where and i had no problem w/ the keyboard...

whats the deal? anybody else having this keyboard problem? and do i need to do anything special b/c of the botched first boot.. did anything important not get set up?

peace

i added a ata/66 controller card and a hard drive to copy the data off the hard drive to my newly formatter 120GB..

i booted fine w/ the controller card in, so i attached the hard drive and booted again.. and the keyboard has now completely stopped responding in XP (it works in the bios and i can hit f8 for boot options).. i tried safe mode, i removed the last HD and the controller card.. nuthing.

its a MS keyboard... it should have the proper drivers right on the XP cd. its PS2.. could it be a problem w/ XP recognizing the mobo? its a MS-6321 (684d Pro, dual P3 VIA chipset).....

anybody had any problem even close to this one?

any info would be great.. i borrowed a ps2 to usb adapter that i will try tonight... but im at a bit of a loss other wise.. ill have to reinstall again and then i may have the same problem when i try to attach the drive..........

The Internet Keyboard Pro has a USB connection & a PS2 Connection. I had to unplug the PS2 connector to get it to work on my computer.
