MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 versus 1.0?

Well I just got a Explorer 3.0 as a replacement for my old 1.0a that had a broken mouse button. Basically the 3.0 seems smaller and more slender. Not as comfy for my hands... IMO.

Anyone else not the like the new version as much as it's older slow (only 1500updates per second versus 6000) less advanced sibling?

All I can say is stay away from the new Wireless Intellimouse Explorer. It's absolutely terrible for gaming due to the friction caused by the heavy weight of the mouse. Everyone in my LAN club purchased one, and all except one returned them. The new Intellimouse 3.0 is the best one yet.
