MS IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 - Using Thumb Buttons in Games

Hey,

Well I just picked up the intellimouse explorer 3.0 and damn I'm amazed, probably the best mouse I've ever used, but anyways, I've tried setting the thumb buttons, in a few games, Quake III, and RTCW, and with both if I try setting the either thumb button, the value that comes up is "0x00", and the button does nothing in game.

Is there any way I could setup the thumb buttons so that I can use them in game, I'm going to go and try them in some other games and see if its only the quake engine that's giving me difficulties.

You can set both thumb buttons to 2 keyboard buttons using the intellipoint software. Then, while in a game set the keyboard buttons to specific game functions.
