A lot of the time when you click the left mouse button it doesn't register, so you have to repeat it. Don't know when I bought it, a few years ago. It's cordless, of course. Is there a way I can fix this? Will Microsoft replace it? I donated it to my volunteer job where it was in use 24/7 for a year or two, but we're back to using a crappy corded one button Mac mouse with no scroll wheel on that machine. :|

Doubt it can be fixed or if MS will replace it. Its a design flaw in these mice, they are not particularly sturdy, i went through three intellimouse 1.0's and they all went in the bin with that exact same problem, or a varient of it where clicking once would register twice. The buttons always break like that, guess they never fixed it with intellimouse 2.0.

Contact Microsoft support. it's quite possible that they'll replace it for you.

I had a wired Laser Mouse 6000 that went bad more than a year after the warranty expired. They replaced it with a wireless Laser Mouse 6000. Not quite a good, IMO, but still a decent replacement...

Thanks. I remember contacting Microsoft for a problem with a mouse and they did a warranty replacement, not sure it was even "in warranty"... this was quite a few years ago. It's certainly worth a try.
