Okay. I've been looking for a good deal on the top of the line MS Intellimouse opticals, the Explorer, and this is what I've put together.
The MS Intellimouse Explorer is $49.99 this week after a $10 Instant rebate at Best Buy in the weekly flyer. There is also a $10 Mail in Rebate I found on the OfficeMax.com site. (You can also pick up the paper rebate from a local CompUSA in your area, I did.) I don't know if the rebate is limited to particular vendors, but it doesn't mention so. So we have $49.99 - $10 MFG MIR = $39.99.
Now, if we were to pricematch at Office Depot for $49.99 (they do PM, don't they?) , add something to bring the total over $50, then use the $15 off $50 coupon, what do we get? $50-$15 coupon-$10 MFG MIR = $25! (+tax)
Hope this works, I'll be trying it later today. :)

Update: I managed to get the PM and $15 off -> mouse for $35, but the mail in rebate says an original form is required. Like I mentioned earlier, the rebate form can be acquired from a B&M CompuUSA, and maybe at other locations. Maybe at Office Max, seeing as they are displaying the pdf version of the rebate form online.

D.

MS $10 off mail in rebate
You can get the OfficeDepot.com online $15 off $50 coupon from techbargins.com or
the hard copy for the B&M, which can be found here: OD 15 off 50 But I've heard this one is no longer usable!
Edit: If you have a Staples near you instead of a OD, you can use the 10 off 50 and still get the mouse for $30 + tax. The staples coupon can also be found at techbargins.com

Hate to break the news to you but Best Buy jacked the price up to $59.99 for this sale. I purchased my MS Explorer mouse about 2 weeks ago for $49.99 with no kind of instant rebate.

Thanks for the MS rebate form though.

yes, but it is $50 after instant savings. so that would be included in the pm, correct? $50 - $15 OD coupon -$10 MIR = $25 for Explorer. This is the one with the 2 extra buttons on opposite sides, correct?

no, the one with buttons on opposite sides is the "Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical Mouse" while the one in question has two buttons on the same side and is called the "Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer Mouse." the main difference between the two: the former has a 3 year warranty while the latter has a lifetime warranty.

Yeah. The three MS Optical mice are the Wheelmouse Optical with the regular 2 buttons (reg $35). The Intellimouse Optical with two extra buttons, one on each side of the mouse for thumb and ring fingers (reg $55). The other is the Intellimouse Explorer, with two extra buttons near your thumb ($75 reg). "Regular" prices are those listed at Shop.Microsoft.Com. I'm going to stop by OD in a bit and see if they will PM the Best Buy flyer and accept the $15 off coupon.

Okay. Back from Office Depot. No problem with either the PM with Best Buy's flyer or the $15 off coupon. After the manager okayed the PM and turned away, I handed the clerk the coupon and read the code to her, just in case. (it is rather blury) Now all I have to do is wait and see if the $10 mail-in rebate comes through. :)

$59.99 Intellimouse Explorer
-$10.00 Low price gaurantee
$5.88 3M Mouse pad model MW311GY
$5.69 Miscelaneous
-$15.00 Coupon
$3.38 Tax
=$49.94 Total.
-$10.00 rebate?

Dan.

PS. I picked the 3M mouse pad with gel wrist pad for $5.88 while I was there. FYI: The other two models of the same pad are still $19.99, only the model MW311GY is on clearance at my store. Grey mountains/misty scene on clearance, Water ripples and astral bodies scenes not on clearance. This isn't new, I remember someone mentioning these were discounted from a while ago.

The fine print on the MS rebate form says "Only original coupons will be accepted." That suggests this deal would require having the preprinted form, not a printout of the web copy. Has anyone seen pads of these rebate forms at any B&M? I just got the Intellimouse Explorer from Staples for $40 via a deal posted here a couple of weeks ago. Another $10 off would be sweet! :D

Damn, you're right. I guess I'll have to stop by OfficeMax B&M and check if they have the coupon. Either that or get in touch with MS and ask for a form to be mailed. Still, $35 for the mouse isn't bad, but I won't give up on the rebate just yet.

I've never used a coupon at OD B&M...is it ok that it will be a print out that someone had posted here? Or will they say something? I really want one of these, amd at $35, it can't be beat!!!

Thats right. The forsale forum is the place to get mice. Every kind of mouse is there. And the prices are way below any retailer even with PM/coupons. Check it out.
