MS Front Page Question

OK, I admit to being a dullard when it comes to these type things. So, I figure I'll turn to those more knowledgeable than I.
I have a business site, (The Naked Investor), and I wanted to make what I figured is a quick and minor change to it. Specifically, I wanted to make two changes to the upper and lower navigation bars on my home page. I changed the link which said "Programs" to "Mentoring Programs", and I changed "Training" to "One on One Training".
Now, each individual link is actually two links. In other words, Mentoring and Programs are each individual links instead of being one. Same with One on One and Training.
Any ideas what I did and how to fix it? Thank you.

They each seem to be one link for me... I guess you already fixed them? You could try highlighting the entire phrase and then adding the link to the words.

I did correct that glitch. But now it seems I've created another one. If you go to the site's home page again, you'll notice that if you click any of the links in the lower navigation bar they will turn blue. However, the two I changed, Mentoring Programs, and One on One Training, both remain white.
No big deal, but I'm curious as to what I did wrong and how to correct it. I was able to tweak the upper navigation bar without a problem.

That sounds like a problem with the stylesheets, although I don't see the problem in my browser. I'm using Firebird (Mozilla).

Also, I noticed that you only changed the links on the main page. The links on the other pages are still Programs and Training. I suggest that if you know any HTML, that you use notepad to make these small changes instead of Frontpage. Frontpage isn't exactly considered the best for website editing.

Unfortunately, I don't know diddly about HTML, which is probably why I'm having these problems. When you start talking about things like stylesheets I'm lost. Someone suggested I do the changes this way and I just followed their advice. I have not had a chance to get to the other pages yet because I don't want to move on to them until I correct the first page I'm trying to do. I guess there is an easier way, huh?

Well, stylesheets allow for the hovering effects on the menu (like the color change and the underlining). I took a look at the page source and there doesn't seem to be a problem with the code. I think it's just your browser rendering it differently. All the effects and link colors look fine for me in Firebird.

Igo, no, I know my limitations and I wouldn't go near the code. I figured a few simple text changes using MS Front Page is my limit.
So, you're telling me that when you go to my Home Page, the situation I described here is not present on your monitor? The lower navigation bar links turn blue when you click on them, even Mentoring Programs and One on One Training? Strange..........

The links at the top turn red when I move my mouse over them (hover). They don't change color when I click and they go back to being light blue even after I've visited them.

The links at the bottom turn blue when I move my mouse over them. They dont' change color when I click and they go back to being white after I click them.

EDIT: BTW, by editing the page in Frontpage, you're sort of editing the "code" already. 🙂 HTML isn't really a programming language. It's just a series of commands telling the browser what to show (show an image, show some text, show a table, etc).

The links in the top nav bar do turn from navy blue to dark red when you hover over them. Then, they go back to the navy blue color when you remove the cursor. That's as it should be.
The links in the lower nav bar are white to start with, then turn blue when you hover over them, then go back to white when you remove the cursor...........except for Mentoring Programs and One on One Training. They start out white and remain white even when the cursor is on them.......at least for me.
