Is there anyway to adjust the sample rate on this MS Explorer mous I have? I have it hooked into the USB, but I was willing to go to the PS/2 port and use PS/2 rate, but they dont support win2k. Anyone have any ideas? This mouse isnt precise enough...

Just FYI:
for Microsoft Optical Mouse, the USB's poll rate is 120; and PS/2 poll rate is 90. I tried using PS/2Rate to set the rate for MSOptical Mouse, but it doesn't work under Windows98SE either. So, I recommend just sticking with the default rate of 120 on USB.

In the mouse properties (in Device Manager) in Windows 2000 you can change the sample rate of your PS2 mouse. However, I just checked mine and it only went up to 100.

yeah but 100 is a bit low. 120 was better, but i still see some improvements...

hmm, you used ps2rate on win98 and it still didnt work? argh....i guess there is no hope unless MS does something with their drivers...

thanx guys
