ms explorer 3.0 + fast user switching... problems?

using ms explorer 3.0 w/ the latest intellipoint drivers from MS. i have fast users switching so my siblings can sometimes use the comp w/o disturbing my workspace. the problem is, when they are done and all, and i log back in, two buttons have lost their function.. the front side and the scroll click. No matter what i change them to, they don't work. they originally are set as copy and paste.

anyone experiencing anything similar?
