MS Exchange - did email come through or not?

Someone said they sent my boss an email but my boss says he didn't get it. Is there anything on our exchange server that we can check? The message is from an outside company to our internal exchange server.

One of the people who was cc'd on the email later forwarded it to my boss. Is there something in the header I can check to see anything about the initial email?

If you've got Message Tracking enabled you can go into the System Manager and click on Tools, then Message Tracking (to check if message tracking is enabled right click on your Exchange server in System Manager and click Properties; Enable message tracking will be checked). Search for the message in there probably by sender as it's possible they mistyped your boss's email address. You can also look at the forwarded email to see if your boss's email is listed in the body although it wouldn't appear in the header.

Unfortunetly I disabled Message Tracking because we were having problems with Exchange about 3 months ago so we decided to do away with Tracking. In the forwarded email, it does show my boss's email address spelled correctly. Maybe they just entered it in the body as they were forwarding it? Too bad it doesn't appear in the header.
