I have setup an exchange server.. my whole network is behind a fire wall... i have been able to check my mail from the internet which is not a problem from the fire wall... its just that locally i use the domain name Home.Houston.rr.com i use rr as my internet provider. and windows had to be DOMAIN.ISPDOMAIN.com ... my rr dns is somthign like this cs24152-65.houston.rr.com i have to allow my mail server to allow e-mails to this address
and also allow people to send mail.. i dont want a compleatly keep open the smtp server i am wondering if there is a way to authenticate to use an smtp server.. ne ideas would be apreacated thanks
