Got a wierd one. To set the stage - I have Microsoft Excel (part of MS Office 2003) running on Windows XP Pro - Now to the problem.
I have a roster of around 275 names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses in an Excel spreadsheet. When I left click on the email address Excel automatically opens MS Outlook and puts an email address in the "To" block of the message. The only thing is is the address is not the one that I clicked in the spreadsheet (though it is one that is in the roster. It may be many rows away. I can copy/paste the email address using the right mouse button OK.
One other puzzeler that may or not be related. When I close the Outlook to go back to the spreadsheet, Outlook closes but MS Word is open behind it. So when Excel goes to open Outlook it aparently opens Word first and Outlook on top of it. I dout that this has anything to do with the email address problem.
Any thoughts?
