MS Excel - Convert minutes:seconds to just seconds?

I entered time in minutes and seconds as:

3:31 ---> 3 minutes, 31 seconds. How do I display this as just seconds (i.e. 211)?

you'll need to combine a few formulas here...

=(minute(a1)*60+second(a1))
