I'm looking to buy it and a new joy stick, but don't want to waste my money if it's no good!

Anyone play(ed) it? Is it any good?
 
Yeah, I bought it when it first came out years ago. I wanted to like it, but it never was that good or well supported. It's buggy as heck, but I have hear of a couple of good 3rd party mods (like a WWI mod, called Over Flander's Field).

Honestly, if you're looking for a WWII sim, IL-2 (and it multiple expansion packs) is the only game in town, especially on the multiplayer front. I know there's a IL-2 package out there that has all the expansions and original game all bundled on one disc. I would look for that.
