MS Bluettoth 5000 Mouse. Help install.

I got this mouse over a yr ago and installed it on one of my laptops with out much of an issue. Although I seem to remember having to go into a menu and telling Bluetooth that it didn't need to have a passkey (or whatever it's called) for mice.

Now I'm on another laptop. Bluetooth is enabled and I put fresh batteries in the mouse just in case. I try to connect and it won't. As I said before, i remember an option to let mice connect without a passphrase but I can't seem to find it.

Both laptops are dells and Xp w/SP2. Updated Bluetooth drivers, etc.

Any ideas?
