Check out MS Big Day to see if its coming to your city. Its a free day-long seminar where they demo lots of new MS products. Mostly Win2000 and Me, as well as Office 2000 products. But for those people who stay the whole day, when I was there yesterday I received a 60 day trial of MapPoint 2001, a 45 day trial of FrontPage 2000, a demo? CD of different products that had been covered that day, signed up for a free MS Optical Intellimouse...plus they randomly drew for Full Products of Win2000Pro, MapPoint 2001, and FrontDraw 2000. I also one a T-shirt. (damnit, cause the next person drawn won the 2kPro. :p) But overall a decent day and free stuff is always good.

I was able to use work time to attend, so I got paid to see demos and get free stuff. Worked for me. Might be worth checking it out.

As far as I know, most of the Microsoft seminars are free, they offer free samples from Microsoft products and their partners, and the all-day ones always have free lunch. So in other words, this is old news to me. The only thing you have to do is check out Microsofts Developer Web Site to see what's currently being offered in your area. Basically, if you're interested in Microsoft stuff and their "new" inovations, it's a good way to find out for yourself.
