I cannot believe it. The new spyware program from Microsoft, supposed to prevent things like this, changes your home page to MSN.com!!! I down loaded from the MS download site installed and after running it and restarting it changed my home page to their site. I tried it on 2 computers and it did the same thing. Would they really release something like this? Even for the most out-to-lunch employee that the have surely would not have approved this..........What has the world come to.

um DUH?
wtf you expect? its Bill M$ is GOD Gates...
he isnt going to let you home page to anywhere but where he wants you to...
BTW
Im pretty sure thats all this program does... it dont seem to catch anything.. spysweeper still a better tool

It shouldn't do anything to your homepage after just a spyware scan. It WILL if you click the Browser Hijack Restore button. But you can change the settings for all of your default browser pages.

It never highjacked mine either...

^^ MS AntiSpyware is free too... so why not use it ? I find it better then Spybot & Adaware combo...

And it offers features that the free versions of other spyware programs don't - like autoupdate and scheduled scans

Funny, I just set AT as my homepage and MS spyware pops up and asks me if I want to allow it! I think I prefer that method of browser hijack.

You expect form a computer program to Guess what it is in your mind to put as a Home page?

If you choose to check for Hijacked Home Page the program assumes that you know what you are doing and that your current Homepage is Hijacked. It releases the current Home page and put MSN, it then proceeds to protect your Home page and asks your permission when you try to change to your preferred Home Page.

This is an excellent feature protecting people who use the Internet but are Not Geeks (whose main obsession seem to be finding some else short comes).
