Hello,

Here are my system specs:
MS-6330 K7T Pro
1.2 GHz (200 FSB) AMD Thunderbird
GlobalWin FOP-32 Heatsink & 4500RPM Fan
Arctic Silver II Paste
256MB PC-133 CL3 Apacer RAM
eVGA GeForce2 GTS w/32MB RAM
Soundblaster LIVE! Value
Netgear FA311 10/100 Ethernet Card
USR 56k Internal Voice Modem
Western Digital 15.3GB 7500 RPM HD
Western Digital 20GB 4500 RPM HD
Generic 56x CD-ROM
Sony Spressa 8/4/32 CD-R Drive
Award 2.5 BIOS

I recently purchased the 1.2GHz Thunderbird chip, and about two weeks after installing it, I had a problem. My computer turned off (while idle) and refused to turn back on. When I pressed the power button, the fans in my system came on (CPU, Video Card, and two case fans), but my Hard Drives and CD-ROM drives did not spin up. The D-LED Lights all remained red. The problem corrected itself, and I was later able to boot the system. Other than that, I noticed no unusual errors.
Another week or so passed, and I had the same problem. I began to think that the CPU I received was faulty, so I exchanged it for an exact duplicate. This CPU also ran well for about a week, and then exhibited the same problem.
I replaced the power supply with a 350W. It was originally only 300W. Another few days passed, and I thought my problem was solved.
Once again, the system refuses to boot. I have tried multiple times to boot it, and one of the times I saw the CD-ROM light come on, and the D-LED was in the 0110 postion (processor initialization). It would not move past that point. I tried to boot it again, and the D-LEDs stayed red, like the other times I tried.
On your website (when the link to the MS-6330 was up) it said that the board supported processor speeds up to 1.2GHz. I contacted AMD, and they said that it does not. Is my processor too fast for the motherboard, or is there some other problem?

Thank you for your time.

According to AMD's recommended system configuration, the MS-6330 is only good for up to 1.1GHz. But why not try flashing the BIOS to the latest and see what happens? Make sure the power supply and heatsink are also AMD recommended.

Unfortunately, I can't start the machine to flash the BIOS. Is there anything I should try that might help get it up and running? I have tried reseating the RAM and Video, and have reset the CMOS multiple times.
