Mr room gets bad wireless reception, my desktop in my room gets ok

Is there a way to goo desktop to some thing that will create another wireless network so my laptop can connect to it?
for exaple:

modem to router ----- (wireless) ----> desktop (ok reception) to _____ then ---- (wireless)----> to my laptop (that is in my room)
