Mr. Olympia

Anubis

No Lifer
OK im a bit confused here, Mr. Olympia is basically the male version of Miss Universe/Miss America, I get that part, Here?s what i don?t get

Miss America and Miss Universe and the like, award women that for lack of a better word are perfect, they represent the "Ideal" woman and all that good stuff, the women look damn good and i think everyone would agree on that

Now WHY does the male Equiv have to be so different? I mean bodybuilding is hard as crap, and they deserve to be awarded for it, but they do not represent the "Ideal" and "perfect" versions of a man, they are all muscle and look kind of funny because they do unnatural things to their bodies,

now why isn?t there some version of this where the give an award to a "normal" dude whoe is fit but not a bodybuilder, like the do for women?

Because you are wrong in thinking that Mr. Olympa/Universe is akin to Miss Universe/America. Mr. Olympia and Mr. Universe are body building competitions, simple as that.

Like the above guy said, it is not Mr. GQ

no actually i really wouldent but it only seems fair, and seeing as that stupid "metrosexual" crap has taken off im supprised there isnt one

Well all sarcasm aside, there isn't a large demand for it. Seriously, women are about the only ones who'd want that, and most women would be embarressed to admit they want to watch it.

body building is a sport. beauty contest isn't. no matter how hard a girl works out, she can't get rid of the fugly. body builders don't have to showcase silly side talents. its all about their body

A man that wants world peace and looks good in a bikini and evening gown? I don't think the majority of the world would watch that contest... 😉
