Mpeg files are acting weird

Ok, so when i try to play an mpeg, it says its like 20 secs long. it freezes 5 seconds into it, but the sound still plays. If i slide the time bar (or whatever) it will go to a part in it that is like a few minues away and still say its on like the first second of the video. I've tried different players, but i dunno what's causing the problem.
 
I had a prolem with all my video files looking weird. Turns out it was a driver bug. Installed nvidia's new driver and it's all fine now. Perhaps it will fix your prolem to update your driver.
 
It's happened on multiple drivers. Pretty sure if was just regular mpeg. I got WMP Classic, and it fixed the problem...hm.
