MPEG 2!

Hi, I need a codec/encoder/decoder for MPEG-2 video, to work with Adobe Premiere.

I've got a whole library of MP2 files I transfered from another computer (720x480 NSTC DVD standard), and I downloaded "Elecard MPEG 2 Player" ... its codec works fine for playback in windows media player but there's a small watermark in the corner... doesn't bother me much at all but the main problem is that I still can't play the video in Adobe Premiere 6.

What do I need? What do I do?
