Mpeg-2 (.mpg) movies from Radeon VIVO don't play in WMA 6.4 anymore

All of a sudden within the last couple days they just don't play. At first, the ATI capture records them in .mp2 and Winamp tries to play them so you just rename them to .mpg and .mpeg and they play fine. When they load, it says trying to download codec, connecting to microsoft, blah blah, failed to download codec. Then the file plays normally. I don't think it even needs a codec since it played correctly anyway.

But now it goes through that connecting, trying to download codec, and it says it fails but since lately it doesn't play the video anymore. Now it just plays the sound. Whats going on?

Sorry, I don't know a lot about Windows Media Player and the drivers the ATI Vivo card you have.

Since no one is helping, might I suggest to try Media Player 7? A lot of people think it's evil, but if it fixes your problems It'd be better than your present situation.
