I'm looking for a good program to author MPEG-2 files to DVD; something quick and easy. Stupid Nero Vision keeps crashing on me, so I'm converting to MPEG-2 using TMPGEnc, and need a program to burn those to DVD.

While they aren't free, both DVDLab and TMPG DVD Author are both good programs and each have a 30-day or so trial period.

IMO, these are the two best programs in existence for DVD creation. I don't know what I would do without either one.

EDIT: Actually, I've never used TMPG DVD Author - when I read this post I thought it said TMPGENC. Sorry for the confusion. What I actually meant was that DVDLab Pro and TMPGENC are the best programs in existence for DVD creation.

I use DVDAuthor. DVDComposer is relatively new. I haven't spent too much time with it. The few times I've played with DVDLab, I thought interface was confusing.

DVDLab is confusing the first time you use it, but once you've done one using the interface, it really is a piece of cake to use.

I love the ability to see the menu flowchart that shows all your menus and the connections between them.

Agreed on DVDLab - but the tutorial is really good at getting you up and running in a hurry. Also, I have never found anything that DVDLab couldn't do. I shopped several software packages before settling on it, and virtually all other software had limitations (i.e. it seems like most other software doesn't handle 16x9 aspect ratios well, if at all).
