Does it have to be one or the other?
The MC is CPU block.
The MPC is originally a chipset block, that they moded to make into a CPU block.

Id go with the MC.

If your asking in regards to the DD sale at frys, if possible, id say chug the TDX and upgrade a cpu block b4 you do a mount/install.
A more recent / newer block will give you a noticeable benefit, and its a drop in replacement.

Get the MC.

As i said it was originally intended to be a CPU block, while the MPC was meant as a chipset block they moded to be a cpu block.
