I don't even know what this code does but it's still hilarious that it's spreading quicker than wildfire.

It lets you watch HD-DVDs on your computer without having an HDCP video card or Monitor.

Which bears the question how do I use the key to do it?

I think it's funny, but I feel bad for the people who have to do encryption jobs. With the sheer amount of hacking going on in today's world, it's not a matter of "if" but "when" your particular code will be cracked. I hope I never, ever get an encryption or security job, lol.

You don't. Software developers use it to remove the decryption. AnyDVD HD is one of the programs that uses the code I think.

This stuff gets cracked so easily mainly because the decoders (HD-DVD/Blu-Ray playback software) is readily available and in the hands of the hackers just as easily as the non-hacker consumer. As long as the "device" that does the decryption to play back the protected content is in the hands of the hacker, content protection will always be broken.
