Currently using a 5750 with my 905e @ stock. Happy with it for the most part, but I did notice some stuttering while playing 1080 mp4 files @ 1600x900. Is this a cpu limitation or gpu?

Consequentially, I noticed that a 5850 was being recommended for an E6600 in this thread, which leads me to believe that my CPU could benefit from a much faster GPU. Im aware games like Starcraft II are CPU dependent, but would a GPU upgrade yield much improvement at 1600x900? How about in other less CPU bound games?

Thanks, will try it out.

What about for gaming. Should I consider a 5850 or something faster for mu CPU?

The 5850 is attractive because of its price and the dude in the other thread had a really crappy card.

Your current 5750 is pretty decent for you. If you are satisfied with the framerates, then I wouldn't suggest upgrading. With a more powerful card you would be able to use higher levels of AA or maybe turn up a few settings - but this is a game by game basis. You may not see an increase in framerates at the same detail levels you are currently using - again this is game by game. A card like the 5850 would be bottlenecked, and how much that happens is game by game.
