I just did a fresh install of XP a couple days ago (moving from WinME) and im noticing the occasional stuttering of my mp3's here and there when i do things like scroll up and down a webpage. It doesn't occur that often, but often enough to irrtate me... This problem never happened when i was on WinME.
I've done a lot of tweaking to various aspects of the OS including startup items and disaling unused services, etc, and nothin' seems to have really worked. These types of problems were part of the reason i went back to ME after trying XP a couple years back.
Am i SOL here? Is there something else i can do to fix this or try to surpress it? Maybe the newer technology found in the Audigy cards would eliminate this type of problem? I do have plans to upgrade the soundcard, but not for a while (other things in mind first).
Oh, and if it helps, my revelant specs:
Windows XP Pro (SP1)
IE 6
Soundblaster Live! Value (newest universal drivers)
Logitech Z-560 4.1
Sonique (mp3 playback software)
