So I'm looking for a paid, legal, mp3 download service and came across this site. It looks like a good deal but I'm questioning the legality of it. It's like $26 for lifetime access or something which seems too good to be true. Anyone ever heard of this site before?

Or can anyone recommend a better site to subscribe to?

Stay legal and avoid breaking the law! File-sharing networks are legal and using them is also legal. Inside our member's area you will find a section dedicated on showing how to stay 100% legal while getting access to the largest file sharing networks. Share Responsibly Copyright law protects original works of authorship, including literary, dramatic, musical, artistic, and certain other intellectual compositions. Why do you have to be a member to find out? 😕

I believe Russian authorities determined that Allofmp3.com is legal, therefore US copyright law allows you to re-import their stuff into the United States.

I don't know about this site, looks like a scam to me. I would guess they will just have a bunch of freeware, and non-copyrighted material in their members section and then give you information about using P2P networks and Usenet to download other stuff, and then tell you that if you already own an original it is legal to download a copy for archival purposes.

it says it's legal in big bold letter in the top right, therefore it must be true!

Their website is legal and they are providing nothing illegal.

They are just selling you crap information on how to do illegal things.

My friend got access to a "legal" downloading site once. From what I understand, his friend paid a subscription fee, then shared access info with him. I took a look at it and decided to download their linux binary to see what it was all about. But when it prompted me to download, the file name had something like "eMulexxxxxxxx.tar.gz". I tried to tell my friend that this is most likely nothing more than a repackaged file sharing client. Of course, he wouldn't listen to me, so whatever.
