MP3 vs. WMA

Since phones are limited by flash memory, it's important to compress music as much as possible without losing too much quality.

Which is the superior format for Windows Mobile Phones?

I don't know about the phones but WMA is superior to MP3 byte for byte.

I use 160kbps wma on my mda. Sounds great (I am seriously impressed with the sound quality of the phone).

loup garou, do you use Windows Media Player to convert them to WMA format? It seems i can only convert them from a CD.

I rip them from CD to wma lossless and MCE/WMP automatically downconverts to 160 for portable devices (phone, gigabeat).
