MP3 Sites

For those of you that purchase mp3s individually, where do you buy them?

I tried Walmart and my McAfee antivirus prevented me from downloading from there.

I want mp3s if possible. Is there any pay site where you can get non-DRM mp3s? I want to be able to copy them to my work pc and my home pc.

I never download MP3s. I make my own from my CDs and tapes. I can fit about 6 to 8 CDs on one CDR in MP3 format. That is about 8 hours or more of continuous music. Great for long trips in the car.

I too prefer to rip from my own library.
The ones online are usually not very high quality and many have DRM issues that I dont feel like dealing with.

Check out Archive.org for free books, movies and music-either stuff in the public domain or by artists that permit sharing. There are quite a number of good musical groups there.

I usually download in lossless form (FLAC), you may be able to stuff in mp3 form there, I'm not sure.

You may also want to check out the websites of any artists you are interested in. Many artists have downloadable songs on their websites.
