What's the best program to rip a CD? I tried MusicMatch but was horrified at how it's become this huge bloatware, system-changing product.

I tried EAC, but when I extract the wav files, I can't hear any sounds from their tracks. What am I doing wrong?
 
If you're having problems with EAC, try CDex which is just as good. Also, I think it's much simpler to use.

But ff you're hell bend on getting EAC to work, use the link mOrphine provided.
 
I had the same problem with EAC under Win2k. Did you install an ASPI layer? On mine, the problem was that the ASPI layer was not correctly installed. After that was fixed, it works great.
