I'm looking to buy an MP3 player. I'll mainly be using it while working out so I don't need anything with an insane capacity. I'm looking for something that can hold at least 45-60 minutes of music and that is at least somewhat durable due to the fact that it may hit the ground from time to time. I don't care too much about nifty features such as a digital display of who the band is, what the song is, etc.

Inexpensive but reliable is a good description of what I'm looking for.

I recommend one of the iRiver flash players. I got the 380T 128mb model a few months ago to use while running or working out. With 128mb, you'll be able to get at least a hour of music on it even at the higher bitrates.

It's also got a FM tuner on it as well.

I paid $90 for mine at Best Buy back in January, but that was after a $30 rebate. You could probably get the player at Newegg for around $100 or so shipped.

That doesn't sound too bad. I guess paying a little extra for a model with a radio tuner might not be a bad idea anyway. I just don't want to sink too much money into something that might get crushed by a dumbbell or something.

Yeah, that's why I always use the neckstrap that comes with the iRiver player when I'm in the gym. It's not foolproof, but at least it's not on the floor.
