I am looking for an MP3 player that comes without a hard drive, as I have a 40gig Fujitsu just looking for a place to park 🙂 Anyone know of any?

Thanks,

Bob

Man some of you don't understand. He wants an MP3 player that takes a HD but does not come with one, and he wants a player to put his HD in.

Although the ipod nano is a great player nourdmrolNMT1 😛

haha... nobody here understands the question.

the OP wants an empty MP3 player that he can insert a hard drive into.

why the fsck didn't he just say it.😛

The OP was not very clear but I understand what he meant.

Using a laptop drive is possible and I guess you could use a regular 3.5" drive but dear god why would you want to?

I can't believe people are not getting it.

He wants to use a hard drive in an MP3 player. He doesn't want a flash based player (although I think he'd be much happier with a regular MP3 player, HD or flash).

i think those people just want to be annoying

If you're talking about a CompactFlash sized HDD, there are a very many Rio Carbon shells floating around the Internet that you could look into. It was a very popular habit in years past to extract the 5GB card from the player and sell the shell online.

Linux23, what isn't clear about the above?

OK folks. I have a 40gig Fujitsu 2.5" hard drive just sitting here. I would like to find a hard drive based MP3 player that comes without the hard drive (ie cheap). Is there anything like this out there?

As for why do I want this? I have about 140 gigs of MP3's and I am an old guy so I don't jog, skateboard, breakdance, etc. So I don't need one of the tiny MP3 players 🙂

Thanks a bunch, guys,

Bob
