I'm looking for the best mp3 player that uses regular or rechargable tripple a or aaa batteries. Anyone have ideas about where to look for this type of player. Size is not important.

Thanks

I really like my Sandisk Sansa. I have an old m240 1GB, lasts about 12 hours on a Radioshack AAA Ni-MH rechargeable.

I have one of these: link, and I really like it. It plays for ~10 hours on a single AAA battery, and about 12 with a NiMh rechargeable. And the best thing about it is if the memory goes bad, you just throw the SD card away, and spend $10 for a new one, instead of having to buy a whole new player.

Most generic memory-stick USB mp3 players use AAA batteries, and 90% are the same anyway so whichever you get is up to price and style :p.

While you're at it, get a battery charger and some good quality high-capacity rechargeable AAAs, then you win.

I love my iRiver. One gig of ram, real nice equalizer. It uses an AA battery that will last something like 40 hours.

If size is not important, consider getting something that will accept AA batteries instead. Rechargeable AAs offer much higher charge capacity.

my friend got an earlier version of the zen nano. be careful, the battery compartment never quite held the terminal connects tight enough and the power would cut out and interrupt play. Check one out at a store to make sure this design flaw has been fixed.

I have a nano, the battery compartment cover broke off over a year ago. I still use it and it doesn't cause any problems. Aside from that, it's been working pretty well.
