Mp3 Player Questions

I just got
This

as a present from my mom on a trip to japan. I always wanted a Mp3 player so I am really excited about it. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this player and can tell me if its good or not. I know its a gift so believe me..no complaining here just wondering. My mom isnt too good with electrioncs so sometimes she will buy stuff that isnt so great.

I havent got it yet since i am up at college and cant come home for a while, but reading the specs it sounds good. The 40 hours of battery life sounds too good to be true..and I will never use 20 GB of space. Does anyone know if you can put files on things like this..like if i wanted to bring a word document to class i could use this?

you should make your subject a little more specific. people may be more inclined to check your thread if your thread topic says "just got a sony mp3 player" rather than "mp3 player" since everyone assumes lately that they're talking about an ipod or a mobiblu cube.

nice. i like the click wheel that the ipod has but that thing looks good to me.

whoa thats pretty cool, i'd take that over a ipod any day, except for the nano

yeah those nanos do look pretty sexy.

I was also wondering...Can i run with this at all? Its pretty small but I just remembered that this is a harddrive thing and since I have never had a mp3 player before i dont know if thats ok to run with.

you can run with a harddrive based device, but the lifespan may be affected by it. that's why people are going toward flash players nowadays.

Thx. So I can do it....But i really shouldnt.

Another question I have is what are some good headphones for these things. I have some really nice headphones for my PC but they are WAY to big for daily use. I hear that the headphones that come with MP3 players really suck so which one would u recommend?
