Mp3 Player - Good Choice?

Considering the price after the MIR and it's recertified, think this is a good deal? I'm thinking for 8 and 11 yr old.

What about using it for myself when I am mowing? I have a set of ear muffs that allow a MP3 to be hooked up to it.

Apple warranties are 1 year, Creative are 90 days, others are ???

Had the predecessor to these (sans MP3 hookup)............worked great until the dogs found it and destroyed it.

i picked up a creative zen v plus 2gb at buy.com for $80AR shipped (126 - 40 rebate - $5 coupon from techbargains).

Instead of the coupon, you could use $10 off using google checkout and get it for $76AR shipped

The zen v plus obviously would have a larger color screen and be able to show videos compared to the sansa. IMHO, a better deal.
