Hi everyone,

I have a 2005 BMW 330i, and found some info about a mp3 player that is supposed to plug into the factory cd changer plug.

Bavarian Autosport has a product in the 20g, 40g, & 60g range called Phat Box. www.phatnoise.com

Does anyone have this ? What's your experience w/ this product ?

Regards,
Jose

I'm assuming you don't have the navigation package.

I hadn't heard about that one before, but I have been looking at MP3 car players for a bit

I heard Dension makes good Mp3 players and iPod hookups that are BMW friendly. I'm considering getting one for my old E36 328, I'm not sure how they fit on the E46's though.

If you haven't already, register at www.bimmerforums.com and ask there, probably a lot more responses.

I believe Kenwood makes it. I'd check there site for more info, or check crutchfield as they carry it.

Yup. My friend has this in his VW Jetta. It is compatible with his stock headunit as well. It was pretty much plug and play. The song title shows up in the factory headunit display and you can set it so that it will tell you what song is playing vocally. Don't ask me how that works, but it will pretty much try and pronounce the titles of the songs. Pretty cool.
