Mp3 playback problems

I'm having weird mp3 playback problems. And no it isn't static that the RIAA puts onto mp3s. It's basically good mp3s that I ripped from CDs being skippy. What could be wrong? I did upgrade my nForce drivers recently and it did upgrade the audio driver. Could this be a possibility?

Is this problem with only songs that you rip? Or is this a problem with every mp3 file that you encouter?
