MP3 music albums and Amazon

The last time I bought an album in MP3 format on Amazon was Susan Boyle about 12 years ago. I remember my wife wanted the songs on CD to play in her car, and Amazon made it easy to download the purchased MP3 files to your PC. At that point, it was pretty easy to burn the files to a regular audio CD.

My wife was happy that it had been purchased legally, and I was happy that I didn't have to wait for a physical CD to be shipped. She was able to listen to it in the car later the same day.

I went onto Amazon today, and while I see the same Susan Boyle songs I purchased, I no longer see any way to easily download the MP3 files like before. My wife had mentioned some songs/albums she wanted, and I was going to do the same thing I did before.

Has Amazon done away with allowing easy download of the MP3 music files you purchase?

Thanks! (as you can see, I don't frequent Amazon much)

Amazon requires you to use their music downloader. Once you have the mp3s, you can do what you want with them.

This link shows the mp3 purchase option for me. Maybe you have to be logged in to see it.?

First thing I always do when I buy music from Amazon is secure a copy of the files and then burn then to a CD or DVD.

last I bought music, in October, I had to download each track - one payment at a time. Clicking the yellow "Buy Song $1.29" button. No more preloading into a "mp3 cart." No special downloader to install.

I bought 4 albums and 21 tracks this year.

Now I'm curious. Does AMZ not show the Buy button if you're enrolled in Amazon Music?

Hey, it worked, thanks! I didn't see the download links for the songs I already had, but using the link you gave, I was able to see download links.

A long time ago they used to offer completely free albums, and they were easy to download.
times have changed.
