I read this and I just think of it as another way of the music industry trying to downplay mp3 to the newer generation of music listeners. While other formats exist, I think mp3 will still be around for awhile. Now the article would have been more pointed, had they looked at how broadband connections have decreased the need for small mp3 file size in favor of images and wav rips of cds. Fun to read.
