mp3 line in encoding comparison

I'm looking to get a mp3 player w/ line in encoding. That's the most important feature, hands down, for me. I'm currently looking at the Samsung Yepp YPT5V and IRiver 780 as the leaders... anyone have a comparison on the encoding quality on these? Know a site that actually reviews that feature?
