Yeah.....depending on if the person who ripped it added the ID3v1/ID3v2 info.

Just right click on the .mp3, select the 'Id Tag' tab, and read the info there.

Most mp3 players will show you the information. If you're using Windows XP, you can open a folder, right click on the sorting options (like File Name, size, etc) and enable the Bitrate option. Windows XP will then show you the bitrate of each mp3 in that folder.

This is a screenshot of when I right click on one of the MP3s.Here

The reaso I want to know is that my brother-inlaw ripped all of his CDs to MP3 for his new MP3 car stereo.Well only about one out of every thirty play on his car stereo or his DVD player at home but they play on the computer.When I looked at the manual fo the deck it says to encode at 128kb or better.

Duh:eek:I hardly ever play MP3s on my system and I fogot I can open Windows Media Player and it tells you the bitrate right there:eek:I


Anyway it says they are all 160kb so now I cann't tell him why they won't play
